Private Residential+Shop

This is a shop and guesthouse located by the seaside in Toucheng, known as a famous surfing spot. While being at the seaside, it faces the iconic Kueishan Island, a symbol of Yilan, and is situated on a site surrounded by numerous mountains at the back. This house features a sloped roof design that responds to its rich surroundings. The second-floor residential area, which can also be used as a three-room guesthouse, protects people from strong winds and sunlight while beautifully framing the surrounding scenery and light. On the first floor, used as a surfing shop, the front pool and the water surface placed in the ceiling area of the main entrance create a memorable spatial experience that changes over time, harmonizing with the sea spread out in front through transmitted and reflected light.
